School Re-opening

Coláiste na hInse re-opened to an Cuan students on Monday, February 22nd. We were delighted to welcome everyone back. Our Sixth Year students returned on Monday, March 1st. Students should complete the HSE Covid 19 declaration forms before they return to school.

Accredited Grades

The Department of Education have announced that Accredited Grades will be offered for this year’s Leaving Certificate. Students will have the option of whether to sit the examinations, receive SEC Accredited Grades, or both, on a subject by subject basis. Students who opt for both will have their better grades in each subject reflected in their results. Details are still being sent out to the schools from the Department of Education. Updates will be posted to the school website.

Senior Cycle Options

Coláíste na hInse launched its online Senior Cycle Options presentation last week, with information on Idirbliain, the Leaving Certificate Applied and the seventeen subjects offered by Coláiste na hInse in the traditional Leaving Certificate. The deadline for submitting options is Wednesday, March 3rd.

Incoming First Year Subject Options

An online presentation of subject options for First Years beginning in Coláiste na hInse in September 2021 is also available on the school website. Forms have been posted out to students and must be posted back to the school by Friday, March 5th.

Kyla Boyle Qualifies for Leinster Schools Debating Semi-finals

Idirbliain student Kyla Boyle has qualified for the Leinster Schools Debating semi-final that are hosted by UCD and Trinity College. This is a fantastic achievement for such a young student. Well done Kyla.
