Rhys Moran age 9 from Mornington Co Meath. On the 21st Feb Rhys did a 10k Charity walk for Dog Trust. To keep in line with government guidelines Rhys broke the walk up over a few days. Rhys put a fundraising target of €135 but was so happy when he exceeded that and made €165. He was delighted his Uncle Eric in New York joined him virtually to give him support they both did the walk at the same time.
As Lockdown has being a challenging time for Children we are so proud that Rhys took a focus of helping others. In addition to the Dog Trust fundraiser, Rhys also did a charity cycle for Bumbleance (a charity focused on a children’s ambulance device) he also raised over €200 to make care packages for the homeless in Dublin City Center.
We as parents and all his extended family are so proud of him for putting himself forward to help these organisation to raise money on their behalf and their great causes.
