The Cilles Pod

Staying in touch with our members is key to us and to help this we have launched our new Podcast – the Cilles Pod.  The Pod goes live every Monday morning and reviews the week gone by and the week ahead.  Hosted by the wonderful Sean Perry of RTE and SKY Sports, it’s a great laugh and an easy way to stay in touch

The Early Years

As everyone knows, the St Colmcilles club celebrates 50 years in 2021.  However Gaelic Games have been played in East Meath for 100’s of years before this.  Our very own, Denis Collins has captured the deep and rich history in his wonderful publication – the Early Years, which is available to all.  Priced at a very reasonable €10, this is a must read publication.  In a very easy to read to format it captures match reports from early games, profiles the stars of yesteryear and digs up more than a nugget or two.  DO NOT MISS OUT on this wonderful piece of history.  Available for sale every Sunday morning at the SHANE BLCK CUL CILLES Academy

Championship Draws Are In

The Men’s championship draws are in and we will face the 2020 Intermediate Champions, BalliNabrackey in Round 1.  Na Fianna and Curraha make up the rest of the group.  Our Premier teams are in action this coming week with the Premier 2 team at home to Ratoath on Friday, the Premier 5 team at home to Rathkenny on Sunday and the Premier 8 team away to Navan Mahony’s on Sunday.  Good luck to all our teams

John Mccloskey U13 Tournament

Great fun had by all at the John McCloskey U13 Blitz

The inaugural U13 tournament took place in June featuring our u13/2008 boys.  A recommendation from the Club’s Football Development Committee, this was the first of many tournaments that we will see in 2021 and 2022.  Honouring Leinster Minor Champion and All Ireland Finalist, John McCloskey, the tournament was a superb success and it was great to have John on hand to present the trophy and prizes.  Our thanks to team sponsor, Shane Black Property Advisers and Walsh Gibbons, Auditors and Accountants who supplied the food and refreshments .  The sun also shone on a memorable day for everyone
