FAI Summer Soccer Camps At Donacarney Celtic
We were delighted to once again host 2 FAI camps at our facilities at Castlemartin. The camps which both sold out went extremely well and this is down to the wonderful kids that attended and the young coaches in the area who once attended these camps themselves and are now on their coaching pathway. We had a very high girls attendance on both camps which the club was delighted to see as the club has put a lot of effort into promoting girls in soccer in the local area.
East Meath Defibrillator Unit
Following the recent shocking event in the Euros the East Meath Defibrillator Unit have been extremely busy in the area going around to clubs to demonstrate CPR and the use of the defibrillator. Jim and his team have been very generous with their time and held a training session at our pitches attended by our coaches so thanks guys it was much appreciated as well as being very informative.
Donacarney Celtic Academy Team
We are delighted to see our 2014 players graduate from our academy into U8 this season. There are some super players and their attitude and effort over the last 2 years has been fantastic. We would like to say a special thank you to the coaches from our club who were doing TY and came on board to coach the kids and this has been a huge benefit to everyone. Well done Ben, Liam, James, Carl and Leah.
NDSL Representatives
A huge congratulations to our 2008 NDSL representative Matthew McCloskey and Jake Ryan who won the Craigavon Cup with the NDSL this month. Well done lads we are super proud of you.
