Speaking about the donation, Joe Collins, Laytown Races Chairman, said: “On behalf of the Laytown Races committee, I would like to take this opportunity to applaud the great work St Vincent De Paul do to support the Laytown community. It has been a very difficult 15 months for everyone and despite the restrictions in place and SVP’s fundraising efforts being severely impacted, Laytown SVP President PJ Geraghty, his Vice-President Jim Griffin and their colleagues continued to support Laytown residents with a wide range of essential services. We hope our small gesture will go some way to support their vital work.”
