Scoil Oilibhéir Naofa – September 2021

Art in the Garden
From September, parents will be to view the new murals from the new carpark beside the school once it is opened. The murals are the work of created by Susanne Deasy and a team of volunteers

The school garden is a work in progress with great plans in place for autumn planting with help from the parents association and Bettystown Tidy town volunteers.

The garden will become a sensory space for the children with lots of elements from planting, water spaces and activity panels for engagement.
The theme of the wall in the garden section is magical forests merging enchanted fairy forest with tropical rain forests. The waterfall painting was extended onto the pathways to create a painted river with lily pads and rocks, all to create a immersive experience of drawing you into the forest.

There was one last push to complete this section by June 25th and even with heavy rain on one day, tarps were draped to create tents so we could continue painting!

We are so looking forward to the children engaging with the garden space and the other yard spaces along the length of the wall which include friendship benches and blackboards for the children to add their designs to the spaces.
