The Studio Coffee Roasters wins a Great Taste award

Great Taste, one of the most coveted food and drink awards, has announced its stars of 2021. The 14,113 products entered for the awards were assessed at 86 socially judging sessions at four venues.

The STUDIO coffee roasters, based in Bettystown was awarded a Great Taste award for their Burundi Mpanga a speciality grade arabica coffee. This is the fourth year in a row that the company has been awarded a star. Its previous coffee and cold brew offerings originated from Ethiopia, Brazil, El Salvador and Colombia.

Achieving a Great Taste award, means judges dubbed it a food or beverage that delivers fantastic flavour.

Judged by over 500 of the most demanding palates, belonging to food critics, chefs, cooks, restaurateurs, buyers, retailers and producers, as well as a whole host of food writers and journalists, Great Taste is widely acknowledged as the most respected food accreditation scheme for artisan and speciality food producers.

As well as a badge of honour, the unmistakable black and gold Great Taste label is a signpost to a wonderful tasting product, which has been discovered through hours and hours of blind tasting by hundreds of judges.
