St Colmcille’s G.A.A.

Words won’t capture what a superb October it has been but we have plenty of images which hopefully help!  November is already shaping up to be a great month and we cannot wait !

Ladies Make History

What a special time this is for our Senior Ladies team making a first ever Intermediate Championship final with a stunning extra time win over Dee Rangers.  With the league title in the bag this game was always going to be close and what a classic it proved to me with the brave Cilles bouncing back to dramatically force extra time and drive on to a famous win. The community is being decked out in the colours and all roads lead to Trim on 6th November for what we all hope will be a wonderful occasion v the famed Navan O Mahonys.  Give it everything ladies!!

Fourth Final In A Row For Minor Boys

our minors became only the second club ever to reach a 4th championship final in a row again with a stunning win in their semi final.  Just like the ladies team there were late goals and scores to finally finally break the Ratoath resistance. What a savage effort by all. The final is fixed for 14th November and like the ladies we need a huge support out to back the team in one final effort v Donaghmore Ashbourne

Premier 8 Championship Final Reached

And so there were 3 major championship finals reached !! The trilogy was completed by our Premier 8 men with a hard fought win in the lashing rain of Piltown over Blackhall Gaels. A team of the ages (or would be a team of ages?) this was the type of grind that wins championships.  Shorn of some big names, the squad showed it was a squad of depth and drove hard for the final finishing line.  A super performance and they’ll have their big day out now too!! All that bunting and signage will get good use this month!!

Garden Room Goes To The Garden County

Congrats to Katherine Martin – Rathdrum in Wicklow the winner of our super new Garden Room from GardenRooms.ie  A superb night was had by everyone in Morans of Mornington where we made the draw. Katherine was an online purchaser and we are so happy for her. Thanks to all who supported this fundraising drive.  To all our ticket sellers and purchasers and sponsors and partners – GardenRooms.ie, SixTwo Digitial Media, Paul Kieran and Val Darcy and the team in Budget Signs. A special word of thanks of course to our overworked PRO Ciara Lalor who put phenomenal time and unseen work into this drive.  THANK YOU ALL

Graham Reilly Halloween Camp

A great time was had by everyone at the Halloween Camp. Well done to all the coaches and participants. The weather was against us but what a week we had

Underage Round Up

Underage competitions are winding up for the season so we have lots and lots of finals coming up. The u15 girls made it to the Divison 1 final and we look to supporting them this month as well. Hard luck to the U15 reserves losing out in the semi final to Trim. What a great year it has been for them

Our u13 boys have had a super year as well. Hard luck to the Reseves losing narrowly in the semi final and a big well done to the Roinn A team winning the Championship v Rataoth.  A super effort and year for all the lads. Good luck too to the u12 boys reaching the u12 final for 2021. Opponents to be confirmed and another huge month ahead. The u15 boys teams hope to add championship honours in divsion 1 and division 4 to the league titles already won

Senior Men Bow Out

Hard luck to our adult first team losing out in the quarter final of the championship to championship favourites – Dunboyne. So many positives from the year to look forward to 2022 with

Our Premier 2 and 5 teams narrowly missed out on their semi fo as but have the Duleek tournament final to look towards and again it could be even more silverware this year
