Training at St. Mary’s Baton Twirlers returned indoors at St. Pat’s GAA Sports Hall Stamullen at the end of September and we welcomed back many of our athletes and some new girls and boys too. Training indoors during covid has changed things for our athletes but following all the necessary procedures such as completing an online covid form prior to each session and coaches wearing masks etc, the athletes still manged to have fun and worked on their personal fitness, solo dance and freestyle routines.
However, it was with heavy hearts that the coaches made a decision to have our last session for 2021 on Wed 24th Nov. (We would normally train right up to Christmas). We wanted to end 2021 with a bit of a celebration as they have missed out on so many training sessions and competitons both National and international. And so everyone wore their Christmas jumpers or pjs and we had our annual Christmas raffle. Thank you to all the parents for their support. Each athlete got a selection box before they went home.
We wish all our members and their families a very Happy and Safe Christmas and New Year.
