Coláiste na hInse – January 2022

Winter Arts Festival

Transition Years students were wowed on the 7th and 8th of December with two original plays ‘Across the Divide’ and ‘Untethered’. The full-scale arts festival had to be dialled back due to the worsening COVID situation, but this did not stop the brilliant teams behind these productions. Both plays were recorded live and will premier late on in the year. We want to say a huge congratulations and well done to both teams for their brilliant work and resilience in the face of all the set backs. It was a brilliant week for the Coláiste.

U16s Boys Basketball:

This week our U16s Boys Basketball team qualified for the All Ireland Final with a brilliant win over Grange Community School of Sligo. The game which took place in the National Basketball Stadium saw some brilliant individual performances, but the collective effort is what stood out to those who watched the highlights. A huge well done to all of the team, Coach Ciaran and Máistir Finley and reaching this incredible mildstone.

Christmas Examinations:

We would like to say a huge well done to our 1st, 2nd, IB and 5th year students who completed their Christmas examinations on the week of the 13th-17th of December. We have no doubt that you’ll reap the rewards of your hard work.
