Cille’s A.C.

Things are starting to slip back into something more familiar to our pre covid lives, fingers crossed it all keeps rolling that way. Looking forward to the Summer arriving, it’s been a tad soggy during some of our training sessions but well worth it. Stay safe everyone and see you at training.

Juvenile training/Waiting list update

Our older juveniles are back out training in Seafield on Mon/Wed nights. We’ve had a great response from our athletes and parents, and everyone is just delighted to be back training together.

The junior group have recommenced training on Saturday mornings at Seafield, they’re such an enthusiastic gang, throwing themselves into a combination of running, drills and games to enhance their running skills. Pictured are the gang honing their jumping skills playing ‘lillypads’. Our ‘Little Cilles’ group have restarted on Sunday afternoons at the all weather pitch in East Meath United, the new location is working out really well for coaches and athletes.

We are in the process of offering places in the groups but are very restricted at the moment with the 15 in a pod rule. We will keep reviewing and offering places as they become available, so please bear with us if you’re waiting on news. If there are any budding coaches out there who’d like to get involved we’d love to hear from you, contact us through messenger or the number on our website www.cillesac.ie

Senior training

Our adults have returned to club training in pods of 15 since May 11th, we’re be meeting at the usual spot in the Tescos carpark, Bettystown, 7.30pm Tues/Thurs

Thank you!

Our wonderful coaches deserve high praise for their hard work and flexibility in being ready to adapt to all the changes necessary to create the right environment to get the groups back training safely. Thank you to our committee who has been working away in the back ground to ensure that we can pick up where we left off.

Distance league

Well done to everyone who took part in our distance league during lockdown, teams of 4 competed for points per kilometre run/walk/cycle and even the odd sea swim. The competition was ferocious! Especially as there was one4all vouchers for the league winners. Pictured with their prizes are Team Runnerbeans comprising of Lynsey, Caroline, Siobhan and Clare, well done ladies. Nicole Ludden literally ran away with the individual prize.

Couch to 5k

Restrictions permitting we intend to host a couch to 5k program in September. This may suit some existing members as a way to get back into it with a group and hopefully we’ll see lots of new faces.
