Drogheda Young Innovators
There was wonderful success for four DGS students at the annual Drogheda Young Innovators Awards this year. Isabelle Greene, Form 1 won Best Individual Winner and TY students; Josephina Quinn, Dorothy Ajayi and Alba Murray Calavia won Best Overall Winner. We are very proud of the girls and their incredible achievement.
Mental Health Ambassadors
Congratulations to TY student Niamh Hyland, who has graduated as a Walk in My Shoes Mental Health Ambassador. She is part of 120 TY students who successfully graduated from the St. Patrick’s Mental Health Services programme. Niamh took part in a number of training days virtually from October to March this year and participated in the wonderful training and education offered to the students. We are very proud of all the time and effort Niamh put into this worthwhile programme.
TY students enjoyed getting out in the fresh air last week for a brilliant afternoon of kayaking along the River Boyne. Students enjoyed learning new skills required for kayaking and were blessed with wonderful weather!
It was great to see our annual Prize Day take place this year albeit in a smaller scale and online. It was wonderful to see last year’s winners join us once more to receive their awards. Congratulations to all the winners on their great achievements and contributions to our school.
Farewell class of 2021!
Congratulations to the class of 2021 on their recent graduation. They are a historic year having faced many challenges over the past two years as a result of the pandemic. We are immensely proud of their contribution to our school and the people they have become. We wish them the very best of luck in their next chapter. Floreat!
