< Previous© October 2018 The Meath Coaster70cesses next month. It is just wonderful to see multiple teams at every age and every player afforded the opportunity to play our games. Keep up the great work eve-ryone. Congrats too to Lucy, Emma and Molly on the Leinster U12 Blitz success with MeathHurling UpdateThe Saints U 15 hurlers are making great progress in the leagues and a win over Navan O Mahony’s was the high-light of a very busy September. The u12 and u15 hurlers also had a special day out travelling to Portumna to play some friendly games. What great day out they hadAdult ChampionshipsAs we go to print the Ladies B team are preparing for a Junior C championship semi-final v Na Fianna at Piltown. The team has been superb this year and have left no stone unturned in their preparations. We wish them all the very best of luck.It was disappointment this month for our other adult teams however. A number of narrow losses and tight finishes saw the senior ladies miss out on an intermediate championship semi-final by a narrow mar-gin. However, we still have the league o look forward to and two more wins that would see us make the league final. Good luck girls - keep working hard. Septem-ber saw the end of the road of our adult men's' championship teams - a wonderful senior championship quarter final ensured at Skryne but ultimately we went down to Summerhill in a high scoring thriller. The Junior B team suffered the ultimate punch in the face surrendering a 7 point half time lead to go down by a point with Congrats to our u16 Gerry Reilly Cup winners with Meath© October 2018 The Meath Coaster71the last kick of the game to Boardsmill, whilst con-fusion reigned at the end of the Junior D semi-final where eventually Ballivor were crowned winners by a single point. Many had thought it was a draw but Ballivor were deserved winners on the night. De-spite a disappointing end to championship hopes in September all our teams have made wonderful pro-gress and can look forward to a bright and exciting 2019 having gained more experience and taken posi-tive steps forward. If you are new to our area or per-haps returning to the games would like to get involved with any of our adult teams then please do not hesitate to get in touch with us at info@cilles.comCarroll’s Estates Cois Na Mara Volun-teer Fo The MonthWe had over 200 girls and 4 bus loads at the recent Ladies all Ireland finals in Croke Park. Each were presented with a memento of the day and took home treas-ured memories. The day could not have happened if it were not for the hard work and efforts of Greg McDonald, a "veteran" (in relative terms) now in organising this annual highlight. For all his hard work and Trojan efforts in making so many memories Greg was awarded our Septem-ber volunteer of the Month from Carroll’s Estates/Cois na Mara Homes. Well done Greg and thank you for your hard work. We look forward to many more trips in the years aheadFamily Day 23 SeptemberThanks to everyone who supported our family day on 23 September.
